Veritas 'Cellar Door' Tramino Frizannte 2009 (popular)
A Great Fun Wine
Veritas 'Cellar Door' Tramino Frizannte 2009 (popular)

The Tramino is made from 35% Gewurztraminer and 65% Frontignac, picked late in the season, and partially fermented to retain the fresh fruit sweetness. This vintage has seen an evolution in one of our more popular wines, by the addition of bubbles that lifts the palate and enhances the crisp fruit flavours, creating the traditional Italian style “Frizzante” (fizzy).

The fruit is delivered to the winery immediately after harvesting in the cool hours of the morning, then processed very gently through our tank press. The juice is cold settled and 3 days later the clear juice is transferred into fermentation. After fermentation is complete, the wine is prepared for bottling.

A wine to be enjoyed chilled in the summer with friends. Also ideally suited to more spicy cuisines and whenever a touch more fruit is required.

"A fresh lively wine loaded with fruit and spice, the hints of apples and raisins come from the lateness in the season when the fruit was picked. The finish is dry, creating an alluring impression that entices the next sip." Christa Deans, winemaker
